Respond with Drawing

You can submit a response with a diagram using the drawing tool.

1. Select the Add Drawing/Image icon in the toolbar.
2. You may select either Blank Drawing or Upload a Background Image to draw on.

Starting with Blank Drawing

1. If you choose to draw on a blank drawing, you will see a white canvas.
   • You may choose from 2 pen tip sizes by clicking the pencil image for a thin line or the marker image for a thick line.
   • You may choose from 8 colours by clicking the colour palette on the left.
   • To insert text, click the text box button and begin typing.
2. To draw with:
   • a mouse, click on the mouse and drag the cursor along.
   • your finger or stylus on a tablet, apply pressure on the screen while moving your finger or stylus.

3. To undo:

   • the most recent stroke, click Undo.
   • To erase or move any part of your drawing or text, click the Cursor icon and select the lines that you have drawn and click Delete.

   • the entire drawing, click Clear All located at the top.

     

4. Click Add if you are done with the drawing. Your drawing will be inserted into the text box.

5. To edit the drawing, click the Edit Image icon to open up the drawing tool again.
6. To delete the entire drawing, click the Trash icon .

Starting with Background Image

1. If you choose to add a background image, you can either drag the file into the box or browse to choose the file from your computer.
2. When the background image is uploaded, it will take up the full width of the drawing canvas. You will not be able to resize the image.
3. You may draw over the background image using the pencil or marker.
4. You may insert text over the background image using the text box.
5. When using the Clear All or Delete, only the drawings/text will be removed. The original background image will not be affected.
6. Click Add if you are done with the drawing. Your drawing will be inserted into the textbox.
