Learn how to add tooltips to your content to show extra information, such as definitions, when readers hover over key terms.

(A3,9) Insert Tooltip

Tooltips will display simple text over selected content to provide more information. For example, a tooltip can be used to display the definition of a technical term.

Insert Tooltip

  1. In the Rich Text Editor, choose the Tooltip icon . Alternatively, highlight the text and select the Tooltip icon.

  2. In the Insert/Edit Tooltip subpage, key in or edit the Display Text, followed by the relevant notes for the tooltip.

  3. Click Save when done.

  4. The display text will be shown and underlined with a blue dotted line.

  5. Click on the display text to preview your Tooltip after submitting your response.
