(B1,i) View Notifications

View Notifications

From the Notifications page or Notifications tab (accessed through Class Groups), you can sort your Notifications according to For Me and Created By Me.

1. Under the For Me tab, you can further sort your Notifications by All, Unread and Flagged.

2. Under both the For Me and Created By Me tab, you can filter your listing using the on Viewing and Type dropdown list.

   • Viewing:

     • All

     • General

     • Pinned Class Groups - Notifications relating to specific Class Groups that you have pinned

     • My Class Groups - Notifications relating to specific Class Groups

     • Admin Roles - Notifications relating to your additional Administrative Role within SLS

   • Type:

     • All

     • Announcements - Class Group and System Announcements

     • Others - Resource Status, Transcoding, Others, Forum, Assignment, Resource, Module, Media, Reports

Note: When viewing Notifications from a Class Group, you will not be able to filter your listing based on Viewing as you will only be able to see Notifications for that selected Class Group.

View Notifications For Me

1. There are 4 ways to access your Notifications:

   • click the Bell icon on the header, followed by View All Notifications,

   • click View All Announcements from the Announcements widget on the homepage,

   • open the left menu and click Announcements,

   • enter a Class group and select the Notifications tab.

2. On the Notifications page, the default view will show Notifications under the For Me tab.

3. You can sort your Notifications according to All, Unread and Flagged by clicking the respective tabs.

4. You can further filter your listing from the Viewing and Type dropdown list. Alternatively, click Filter to open the Filters subpage.

5. Note: When viewing Notifications from a Class Group, you will not be able to filter your listing based on Viewing as you will only be able to see Notifications for that selected Class Group.

6. Click Apply to proceed.

7. For Notifications that require your action, clicking that Notification card will redirect to you the relevant page.

8. For Notifications that are for information, clicking that Notification card will open the Notification Subpage. Click X or View All Announcements to return to the Notifications page.

Did You Know: You can view the twelve latest Notifications by clicking the Bell icon on the header. You will be able to view, flag, and unflag a Notification from the notification panel.

View and Edit Notifications Created By Me

1. From the Notifications page or Notifications tab (accessed from a Class Group), select the Created By Me tab.

2. You can filter your listing from the Viewing and Type dropdown list. Alternatively, click Filter to open the Filters subpage. For Notifications accessed from a Class Group, you can only filter your listing from the Type dropdown list.

3. To edit a Notification, click the Notification card to enter the Announcements subpage, followed by clicking the Overflow (3-dot icon) and selecting Edit.

4. Click Save to confirm your changes.

Delete Notifications Created By Me

1. From the Notifications page or Notifications tab (accessed from a Class Group), select the Created By Me tab.

2. You can filter your listing from the Viewing and Type dropdown list. Alternatively, click Filter to open the Filters subpage. For Notifications accessed from a Class Group, you can only filter your listing from the Type dropdown list.

3. To delete a Notification, click the Notification card to enter the Announcements subpage, followed by clicking the Overflow (3-dot icon) and selecting Delete.

4. Click Ok in the confirmation prompt.

Turn On/Off Notifications

1. From the Notifications page or Notifications tab (accessed from a Class Group), you can turn on Email Notifications for a particular category of Notifications from Notification cards.

2. Click the Overflow (3-dot icon) and followed by Turn On/Off Notifications.

3. When Notifications are turned on, you will be able to receive them in the email you have indicated in SLS.

Flag a Notification

1. On the Notification card, click the Flag icon to flag a Notification. You can use it to flag important notifications you wish to follow up on.

2. A Flagged Notification will be indicated with a Red Flag .

3. To unflag a Notification, click the Red Flag icon .

4. To flag/unflag on multiple Notifications, you can select multiple Notifications by selecting the checkboxes beside the Notification cards, or selecting the checkbox beside Select all notifications if you wish to select the entire page of Notifications.

5. On the table header, click Flag > Clear Flag.

Note: You are unable to Flag Notifications that are created by you.

Mark a Notification as Read

1. Unread Notifications are indicated with a yellow circle on the Notification card.

2. The yellow circle on the Notification card will disappear when the card is opened.

3. To mark multiple Notifications as read, you can select multiple Notifications by selecting the checkboxes beside the Notification cards, or selecting the checkbox beside Select all notifications if you wish to select the entire page of Notifications.

4. On the table header, click Mark as Read.
