(A1,3) Add Existing Media Objects from Resources (Enhanced)

Learn how to add existing media files — such as images, videos, and PDFs — to your lessons using the Rich Text Editor or Lesson Cover from your library or Starred Resources.

(A1,3) Add Existing Media Objects from Resources (Enhanced)

Image files can only be added to a Lesson Cover while Media Object can only be added via Rich Text Editor.

The following Media Objects can be added from My Drive, Community Gallery, MOE Library, and Starred Resources.

  • Video

  • Interactive

  • Audio

  • PowerPoint

  • Word

  • Excel

  • PDF

  • ZIP

  • Others

Add Existing Image Files to Module and Section Covers

  1. From the Lesson Editor page, click the Module Cover icon or Section Cover icon .

  2. Click the Pencil icon which will appear when you hover over the Module/Section Title.

  3. Click Add Existing and select between Image From Library and Image From Starred Resources.

  4. When adding an image from Library, you may search for Images across Community Gallery and My Drive.

  5. When you add an image from Starred Resources, you are unable to search for Starred Images.

  6. Select the Image you wish to add to your Lesson/Section Cover by selecting the relevant Image Card. Note: Click the Download icon should you wish to download the image.

  7. Click the space outside the Component to save your edits.

Add Existing Media Files from Rich Text Editor

  1. When editing a Component that allows Rich Text, click the Add Media icon .

  2. Click Add File from Library to add an existing Media Object.

  3. When you add a file from Library, you may search for Media Objects across MOE Library, Community Gallery and My Drive. You can also apply Search Filter to narrow down your search.

  4. Select the Media Object you wish to add by selecting the relevant Media Object card. Note: Click the Download icon should you wish to download the Media Object.

  5. Click the space outside the Component to save your edits.

Add Starred Media Objects from Starred Resources (New)

  1. When editing a Component that allows Rich Text, click the Add Media icon .

  2. Click Add File from Starred Resources to add an existing Media Object.

  3. Search for media files by entering keywords from their titles. You can then refine your search results using the "Resource Type" filter.

  4. Once you have selected the media file, click the space outside the Component to save your edits.
