Embed YouTube videos and set custom playback times.

Embed Youtube Video

You can embed YouTube Videos directly from the Component Bar under Text/Media.

Alternatively, you can also embed YouTube videos in the Rich Text-enabled component by clicking the Add YouTube icon.

  1. In the "YouTube URL" field, enter the URL of the video.

  2. If the URL is valid, you can proceed to click on Add.

  3. The YouTube video will be added in the Rich Text for you to view.

  4. By clicking on the Settings Icon below the video, you can set your preferred start and end times for the video playback. There are two ways to do this:

    • Enter the time into the text box in HH:MM:SS or MM:SS format.

    • Play the video in the Preview section. When the video reaches the desired start time, click on Capture Start. The text box will be updated with the current position of the video along the timeline. You can do the same with Capture End to set an end time.

  5. Click on the Save icon.

    • Note: The YouTube video will start and end as set. However, students will still be able to use the video seek bar to move before or after the set timing.
