(A3,8) Insert External Links

Add, edit or remove external links in Rich Text components.

Add External Link

  1. When entering your response in a component that is Rich Text-enabled, select the text that will be linked.

  2. Click the dropdown arrow beside Hyperlink icon and select Add External Link.

  3. Key in the URL for the website that you would like the text to link to.

  4. You may also edit the Text to display or the Title.

    1. Text to display will be the text shown for users to click on.

    2. Title will be the text shown when the user hovers on the link.

  5. The default target is Current window which means that the linked website will open in the current tab. You may also select New window which will open the linked website in a new browser tab.

  6. Click Save when done.

  7. The linked text will be displayed in blue.

Edit/Remove Link

You can edit or remove a link by clicking on the linked text in blue and choosing either the Pencil icon or the Remove Hyperlink icon.
