Learn how to set prerequisites for activities, quizzes, and sections in a module, so students must meet set conditions before accessing locked content.

(B1,i) Add Activity, Quiz or Section Prerequisites

Activity/Quiz Prerequisites

You can add Activity/Quiz Prerequisites to a Module that contains multiple Activities/Quizzes. Activities/Quizzes with Prerequisites will be locked until students fulfil the Prerequisites.

  1. On the Module Editor page, click the Module Plan icon .

  2. To ensure Activities/Quizzes are completed in sequence, select the checkbox next to "Sequential Activity Access" and click Apply.

  3. To add Custom Prerequisites to an Activity/Quiz, deselect the checkbox "Sequential Activity Access".

  4. To add Prerequisites to selected Activities/Quizzes, click the Overflow (3-dot icon) and select Add Activity Prerequisite, followed by Add New Prerequisite.

    • You can choose from the following Prerequisites:

      1. Module Progress

      2. Game Story

      3. Collectible

      4. Game Branch

      5. Level

      6. Quiz Rank

  5. To add another Activity Prerequisite, click Add New Prerequisite.

  6. For each additional Activity Prerequisite, you may choose for them to be fulfilled as And/Or.

Section Prerequisites

You can add Section Prerequisites to a Module that contains multiple Sections. Sections with Prerequisites will be locked until students fulfil the Prerequisites.

  1. On the Module Editor page, click the Module Plan icon .

  2. To ensure sections are completed in sequence, select the checkbox next to "Sequential Section Access" and click Apply.

  3. To add Custom Prerequisites, deselect the checkbox "Sequential Section Access".

  4. To add Prerequisites to selected Sections, click Add Prerequisite, followed by Add New Prerequisite.

    • You can choose from the following Prerequisites:

      1. Module Progress

      2. Game Story

      3. Collectible

      4. Game Branch

      5. Level

      6. Quiz Rank

  5. Click OK to proceed.

  6. The number of Prerequisites set for that Section is indicated in parenthesis. Click Prerequisites ( ) to view them.

  7. To make edits, click the Pencil icon , followed by OK to confirm.
