Re-uploading an Image
As SLS upgrades, older file formats may no longer be supported. If the message "This image format will not be supported." appears, please do the following:
Download the image if the option is available.
Alternatively, right-click to Save Image as a new file.
Remove the image of the older format from the Rich Text-enabled Component and reupload the image that you just downloaded.
Editing a Media Object
Media Objects that have been uploaded from File will be editable.
Click the Pencil icon to edit the image.
Click the Trash icon to delete the Media Object.
Click the Settings icon to edit the Media Object's:
Title
Description
Star it as a Resource
Capture video start and end (for video/audio files)
Set permission for students to play video beyond the set start and end times (for video/audio files)
Set Permission for students to download
Show transcript and caption (for video/audio files)
Keyword Tags
Note: Media Objects from MOE Library/Community Gallery cannot be edited by drawing or from its settings.
Once done, click Save .
In the Module View page, you can download the image by clicking the Download icon .
Annotating a Media Object
Play the media object and identify the appropriate timestamp for the annotation.
At the specific timestamp, click on the Create Note icon to add note to video.
A text box will appear for you to type in your annotation.
You may insert mathematical or chemical equations, include emoticons, a drawing or upload a file or audio recording.
You may also add Keyword Tags on the Annotation card. This will help to improve searchability.
Once you are done, click Save.
A Pin Indicator will appear on the media player at the various points where an annotation is made. Click on the pin to skip to the corresponding timestamp.
A list of annotations will appear in the annotation drawer. To expand the annotation drawer, click on the Notepad icon
Click on the Annotation cards to skip to the corresponding timestamps.
If a transcript has been generated, the annotations can also be viewed in the transcript, along with the corresponding annotation cards in the annotation drawer.
