(A3,1) Add Teacher Comments

You are able to add a Comment to the responses of a specific Free-Response, File Submission, and Audio-Response Question for a single Student or multiple Students.

Add Comment for a single Student

You can add Comment for a single student from the Student View of the Assignment.

1. From the Monitor Assignment page, select a student and navigate to an Activity containing the Free-Response or Audio-Response Question.

2. You can choose to insert mathematical and chemical equations by clicking the respective icons. You can also insert drawings, upload file attachments from your local hard disk or Google Drive, or record an audio recording. You can also mention students and/or teachers in your post by typing '@' and selecting their names from the dropdown list. The selected students and/or teachers will be notified.

3. If you wish to notify students of the comment, select the Notify student(s) about comment checkbox.

   • Note: You can add multiple Teacher Comments to the question. Students can reply to the comments added.

4. Click Post.

Add Comments for multiple students in View All Responses page

You can Add Comments for multiple Students from the View All Responses page.

Note: The View All Responses page is the collated view of student responses to a question. You can do mass marking by selecting multiple students to add Comments.

• View the Activity with a Free-Response, File Submission, or Audio-Response Question. At the bottom of the Question, click View All Responses.

• To add Comments for multiple students, select the checkboxes beside their names.

  • Note: You can also Add Comments for a single student by clicking the Add Comments below the student’s Response.

• Click Add Comments to enter your Comments. The number of selected students is shown in the Add Comment subpage. If you wish to notify students of the Comment, select the Notify student(s) about comment checkbox.

  • Note: You may also click Award Marks in the header to enter the marks to be awarded to the selected students. Marks awarded for Free-Response, File Submission and Audio-Response Questions in non-Quiz Activities will not be editable once it has been confirmed. Marks awarded for questions in Teacher-Mark Quiz will be confirmed after the Quiz is released.

• Click Send.

Edit a Teacher Comment

1. To edit a Teacher Comment given to a student, select a student and navigate to an Activity containing the question.

2. Click the Overflow (3-dots icon) to Edit or Delete the Comment. You can choose to notify your students of the edited Comment by selecting the Notify student(s) about comment checkbox. When the Teacher Comment is deleted, students will not be notified.

   • Note: You are unable to edit multiple Teacher Comments at the same time.

3. You will be able to delete the student's reply to Teacher Comment.
