Important: Student answers that have not been saved as draft before an assignment is paused, will not reappear after the assignment has been resumed.
You may pause and resume an Assignment temporarily if you do not want students to have access to the Assignment.
Note: When you pause assignments, any related notes and annotations that students have added to their notebooks will become unavailable to them.
Click the Assignment card to enter the Assignment and click the Pause Assignment icon . A blue banner will indicate whether an Assignment is paused.
Note: Students will not be able to attempt a paused Assignment, and will view that the assignment is paused on the Assignment card or the Assignment Cover. If they are in the process of attempting an assignment when the assignment is paused, they will receive a prompt.
When you wish to resume, click the Resume Assignment icon .
A confirmation pop-up will appear. You can choose to Mark Assignment as Incomplete for all students and/or Notify students that the Assignment has been edited with a custom message. Select the respective checkboxes and click OK to proceed. This is a generalised notification even if no edits have been made.
Note: Students will receive a notification that the Assignment has been resumed/edited.
Click OK to proceed or Cancel to return to the paused Assignment.
Note: When you pause assignments, any related notes and annotations that students have added to their notebooks will become unavailable to them.
